Cicada
When Jennifer Gay and Elizabeth Klob started Cicada 19 years ago, the first wedding gowns they made were for friends and family, as well as Jennifer's own wedding gown. Their first small shop with just one dressing room has grown to their flagship store in downtown Seattle. It was there they made Elizabeth's wedding gown, and have had the honor of making gowns for discerning northwest brides for the last 17 years. Their design philosophy is to combine figure enhancing structure with fluidity and movement to create a gown that will feel as good as it looks on the wedding day. Fine silks, vintage details and a sense of romance inspire them, but the real brides they work with daily are their greatest inspiration. Cicada gowns are designed and made by hand in their workshop at the Alexis Hotel in Seattle, Washington. Gowns range in price from $1500 to $3500.
