Tip Tuesday | Traveling With Your Wedding Gown

Are you having a destination wedding or planning on traveling with your gown? Don’t stress, we have some easy tips that will make your trip a breeze! Besides, we know you won’t have time to worry about lost luggage, especially when it comes to your wedding day essentials.

  1. Always carry your gown, veil, accessories, and any other wedding day essentials on the plane with you. The flight attendants will have no problem safely storing your gown during the flight and the rest of your items should fit perfectly in a carry on.

  2. Make sure that you keep your gown in a secure garment bag, our signature blue bags are perfect for this!

  3. Do your research or at least ask your stylist and tailor for wrinkle removing tips! Most gowns can be steamed, so a small travel sized steamer is a must have! This will also be helpful for the bridesmaid’s gowns and men’s shirts!

We hope these tips relieve a little travel stress. Now sit back and enjoy the best vacation of your life!

Cheers!

Real Bateau Bride | Michelle and Bronson

Wedding Date: September 21st, 2019
Gown Designer: Blush by Hayley Paige
Venue: Raven Glacier Lodge
Photographer: Donna Marie Photography
Florist: Tanya Val
Tailor: Celestial Designs

Why did you pick your venue: “It sort of picked me. We were looking for an outdoor/indoor venue that could broadcast all the “Alaskan feels” that we were wanting. I had already sent out save the dates with no venue yet! I was in a frantic to find a place to hold more than 150 people and when I called, Cathy said the date which I wanted had just became available that week, it was a best case scenario. Such a beautiful place, would highly recommend.”

Best part of the venue: “The food!”

Why did you pick your dress: “It was everything I did NOT think I would get. I pictured myself in formfitting lace or silk, this was a total tulle ball gown. I cried when I put it on. I pranced around and twirled non-stop at BBB

PS- the fur stole I purchased from David Green and it was a necessary splurge. Felt like a queen on Game of Thrones.”

Three words to describe your day: “Cozy, Crisp, and Charismatic”

How you met: “He was my fitness instructor!”

How they proposed: “Hiked up Kilimanjaro in February 2019, he proposed at the summit during the sunrise. The bar has been set high, even for his standards!”

Any other fun memories / moments from the day: “September by Earth Wind Fire will forever be stuck in my head.”
